As our commercial division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator to help us accurately evaluate opportunities, build competitive proposals, and set our commercial projects up for success from the very beginning. You'll work closely with our commercial sales, production, and leadership teams — because a great project starts with a great estimate.
What You'll Do
- Review commercial roofing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform detailed takeoffs and measurements.
- Prepare accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects.
- Identify material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
- Request and review pricing from vendors and suppliers.
- Work with manufacturers and suppliers to identify appropriate roofing systems and specifications.
- Prepare scopes of work and proposals.
- Track bid opportunities, deadlines, addenda, and proposal requirements.
- Work closely with our commercial sales, production, and leadership teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the estimating process.
- Help ensure projects are properly scoped and positioned for a successful handoff to production.
What We're Looking For
- Commercial roofing, construction, or estimating experience.
- Understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and terminology.
- Comfortable reading plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Able to accurately perform takeoffs and understand labor, material, equipment, and project costs.
- Analytical — you enjoy working with numbers.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized; you catch the details other people miss.
- Clear communicator with vendors, manufacturers, and our internal team — and you follow through on commitments.
- Able to manage multiple bids and deadlines without letting details fall through the cracks.
- A team player who takes ownership of your responsibilities and meets deadlines.
