Position Overview: We are currently seeking a willing, motivated individual to join our team in the role of Sales Representative here at Brown’s Roofing. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact. This sales position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with homeowners to create lifelong relationships that showcase your unwavering honesty, your contribution to service within your community, and Brown’s Standard of Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of roofs and properties to determine the scope of damage and necessary repairs
  • Meet with homeowners to assess roofing needs and provide professional guidance
  • Generate accurate project estimates and proposals, communicating with production
  • Liaise with insurance companies and adjusters on behalf of homeowners to facilitate the claims process
  • Assist homeowners in selecting colors and materials for roofing projects
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve regional, departmental, and company goals
  • Manage collections, cultivate referrals, and generate positive business reviews
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Education, and stay up to date with industry trends
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative in all aspects of work

Description of Duties

  • Deliver materials to job sites, ensure proper storage, and remove leftover materials. 
  • Assist with managing documentation such as invoices and project records.
  • Understand and adhere to safety protocols on all job sites.
  • Communication with clients, project managers, and the production team to ensure smooth project execution. 
  • Assist with inventory control by ensuring materials are available and accounted for. 
  • Coordination and communication with sub contractors.

Description of Duties

    • Investigate and repair leaks, and perform repairs and replacements in accordance with industry standards
    • Inspect and maintain roofs (TPO, metal, modified bitumen, build up, shingles, etc) to ensure they are structurally sound and weatherproof
    • Communicate with clients, answer questions, and guidance with protecting their greatest investment
    • Follow safety procedures with ability to wear appropriate safety gear, such as hard hats, safety glasses and harnesses, and use non-slip shoes when working on ladders or scaffolds
    • Climbing ladders and scaffolding, and paying close attention to ensure that you will not put anyone at risk in a construction environment (Safe Work Space).
    • Perform heavy lifting with the ability to twist, bend and use both hands and arms
    • Handling of proper paperwork and technology (Company Cam) for reporting

Description of Duties

  • Building and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs, and objectives.
  • Preparing detailed proposals, inspection reports, and long-term budget for clients. 
  • Reviewing and understanding contracts, including preventative maintenance agreements. 
  • Serving as a point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. 
  • Managing assigned service work and projects, including defining goals, risks, and timelines. 
  • Addressing client concerns, providing timely resolutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience. 
  • Generating leads, conducting roof damage assessments, and contributing to sales efforts. 
  • Possessing a strong understanding of roofing products, systems, and construction processes. 
  • Identifying and resolving complex selling situations and client issues. 
  • Developing strategies to increase market share and drive revenue growth.
